Foraging the Pacific is a vast thing - from seaweeds in the ocean proper, to critters like oysters and goose barnacles, an impressive array of shore plants (some needing the influence of salt water), the fruit shrubs at the forest edge, and the old growth forest itself. There's a HEAP of abundance, and lots to learn.

Our Vancouver walk covers old growth to ocean shore, with a focus on the forest and edge species.

Our Ucluelet walk is heavy on intertidal, while still covering an array of forest and shore species.

Your guide will introduce you to 15-20 species of wild edible plants and fungus, with a focus on their use in the home kitchen - covering ideas for savoury dishes, desserts, and beverages. We'll get you started if you're new to it, or level you up if you've already got your feet wet.
